Rock Climbing Seminars
BOEALPS occasionally offers a toprope and/or sport climbing seminar as a multi-day series following the end of the BMC season. These seminars allow students to learn, practice, and ask questions about these skills with instruction before putting them to use.
Sport Climbing Seminar
The sport climbing seminar introduces students to the skills needed to safely set up and execute top rope climbing outdoors. The focus is on equipment, safe anchors, and climbing techniques.

- Dates: July 10th at Mountaineers, July 17th & 24th at Exit 38
- Location: Exit 38
- Prerequisite: BOEALPS Basic Mountaineering Class (or equivalent)
- Cost: $50
- Party Size: 8-12 students

We will need 3-5 instructors per class. If you have relevant skills and/or can help set up ropes, let us know your availability in the form above!
Lead Climbing Seminar
The lead climbing seminar introduces students to the skills needed to safely begin leading sport climbs. The focus is on equipment, lead belaying, clipping technique, and anchor cleaning.
