Mountaineering First Aid Course

You never know when you may need to know MOFA!
Calling All Students!!
MOFA is designed to prepare you to deal effectively with
accidents that can occur in remote areas where professional medical help is not
readily available. The MOFA Refresher class consists of four classroom sessions,
including hands-on scenarios held outdoors. MOFA Instructor classes are also offered
through the Mountaineers.
This course is recommended for all BoeAlps members and is
required for all first-time BoeAlps Basic Class Instructors.
NOTE: CPR will not be taught as part of the MOFA courses.
MOFA
There will be eight classroom sessions, including hands-on
scenarios held outdoors. Graduates will receive American Red Cross Standard First
Aid and a MOFA card. Classes meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30 pm to 9:30
pm in Building 2-22, Room tbd.
The class dates are January 7th, 9th, 14th, 16th, 21st, 28th, and 30th of 2008.
The cost of the class is $55.00.
MOFA Refresher
This class consists of four class sessions in February meeting
twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm in Building 2-22.
The class dates are February 4th, 6th, 11th, and
13th of 2008. Your MOFA card cannot be more than 3 years old. The cost
of the class is $55.00. (The price will be discounted if you already have the books.)

Instructors Needed!!
With more instructors BoeAlps will be able to better accommodate the overwhelming
demand of students that are seeking MOFA training.
MOFA Instructor courses are taught each spring and fall. The course is 40 hours
long and is a great way to keep your MOFA skills fresh.
If you are MOFA certified or if you will soon be MOFA certified, please consider
expanding your MOFA skills and take the MOFA Instructor course.
